Back to School

Back to School – September 2021

We are excited to welcome our children back to school in the morning (Thursday 2nd September 2021), with some of our FS1 and FS2 children starting school over the next few days.

We are really looking forward to school returning to more normality over the coming months, but we are going to maintain the high level of hand hygiene and increase ventilation through windows being open, and taking additional measures as required in school, to keep everyone as safe as possible, as reflected in our risk assessment.

Start and end of the school day

Our school day will revert back to our usual times, from Thursday 2nd September, with children in F1 morning session starting at 8.45am (the front gate will be opened at 8.40am for these children) and with the classroom doors for children in FS2 to year 6 will open at 8.50am and be closed at 9am.  We are going to maintain the one-way system for the time being, with parents exiting via the driveway exit, and will evaluate this route half-termly.

Our F1 afternoon pupils may arrive at school for 12.25pm for their 12.30pm start time and will enter school via the new F1 access path.

At the end of the school day, the main front gate will be opened at 3.20pm for the 3.30pm finish for all children, and exit will be by the one-way system, via the driveway exit; again we will evaluate the one-way system half-termly.

There is no mandatory requirement to wear a face-covering on the school playgrounds, but if adults wish to wear one, this is their personal choice and should be respected.

We look forward to seeing them all back and seeing the smiles on their faces, but if your child has any symptoms of Covid 19, please remember that they are not to come to school as they will need to self-isolate – together we can keep everyone safe.
