OFSTED

OFSTED REPORT FOR WARMSWORTH PRIMARY SCHOOL

Our most recent Ofsted inspection was carried out at  Warmsworth Primary School on 4th / 5th December 2024 and 12th March 2025.

We are delighted that our school has been awarded the ratings as detailed below:

                          The Quality of Education:           GOOD
                          Behaviour and Attitudes:            GOOD
                          Personal Development:               OUTSTANDING
                          Early Years Foundation Stage:   OUTSTANDING
                          Leadership and Management:   GOOD

As many of you may be aware, it was 10 years ago since our last Ofsted in March 2014 and there have been several Ofsted Inspection Frameworks over this time. The Ofsted framework for inspecting schools is very rigorous and we are therefore incredibly proud to have been awarded these ratings, which reflect all the hard work and effort of our children, staff, governors, parents and the wider community.

Warmsworth Primary School Ofsted Report

We have a wonderful school community , and we are proud of our school and all that we achieve together. We could not be prouder of the opening paragraph, which includes, ‘Pupils are happy at Warmsworth Primary School … Pupils feel safe and secure in the school’s caring community.’ The health and well - being of our school community is, and always will be, our priority and to know that our pupils talk about being happy and safe confirms that our school is a happy, safe and secure place for our children to thrive in.

We are delighted that the inspectors recognised that we have implemented a ‘carefully thought -out curriculum’, and our high quality of learning and teaching across school ensured ‘Pupils show a good understanding of the subjects they study’. They also recognised our inclusive ethos reporting that ‘Teachers provide adaptations in lessons … to help pupils with SEND learn well.’

The inspectors recognised the vital role of high quality learning, teaching and provision in the Early Years Foundation Stage, rating it as Outstanding, and reporting that ‘Children in early years benefit from an exceptional quality of education. Indoors and outdoors, the environment sparkles with opportunities to learn … They are extremely well prepared for their next steps.’

Over the inspection period, the inspectors visited every classroom and observed every moment of the school day: before school; around the school at every break time and lunchtime, and they were very complimentary about the behaviour, kindness and manners of our children , ‘Pupils behave well… their sensible behaviour makes the school a calm and orderly place.’

The inspectors recognised that our provision for our children’s wider Personal Development ‘is simply exceptional’ and rated it Outstanding. They reported how ‘These experiences prepare pupils extremely well for life in British society.’

The inspectors met with some of our subject leaders, observed lessons and spoke to staff and children about their learning. They also met with governors and a group of parents and were very complimentary about the engagement of parents with the school; thank you again for your continued support.
