Outdoor learning

Outdoor Learning at Warmsworth Primary School

Our wonderful learning environment also lends itself to outdoor learning, both to support curriculum subjects and also teach the children about horticultural and care for the environment. Our school quad, poly-tunnel, woodland area and school grounds offer many opportunities and experiences to explore. 

Our younger children have a woodland learning session outdoors each week. We ask that on these days the children bring their wellingtons and a suitable coat.  As with all clothing and footwear, we request that your child's name is written on these items.

The children require their outdoor clothing on the following days, to ensure your child has appropriate clothing and wellingtons that can be left at school.

Foundation 1 - Muddy Monday

Foundation 2 - Welly Wednesday

Year 1 - Forest Friday

Year 2 to 6 - Children will be advised when they require any additional clothing for outdoor learning.
