Year 6 Science Discovery Session - The heart

We had the best day today.  We are beginning our learning about how the circulatory system works and what better way to commence this learning but with a real heart and lungs!  Yes, a real heart and lungs.  We were able to touch it and hold it.  We also used the computers to research information about the heart. By the end of our session, we knew lots about the heart - some of the children are even contemplating becoming heart surgeons once they reaslised just how important the heart is in the human body.
