OUR FLAMBOROUGH TRIP

YEAR 5 HAVE GONE TO FLAMBOROUGH TO LEARN ABOUT COASTLINES:

When Year 5 got on the bus to Flamborough, we were buzzing with excitement. The bus ride was longer than expected as there was a lot of traffic. But when we got to Flamborough, we went to a headland to draw what we could see. These things were an arch, a stump and a headland opposite to the one that we were on.

Then, we travelled back to the shops and down a LOT of stairs to the beautiful rock-filled cove. All of the rocks had cracks in them because of the sea eroding them away. We had to write down what we could see, hear, feel and smell. After that, we wrote a creative writing paragraph about the cove. By the cove, there was a stack and above us were seagulls, which were chirping and looking for fish and chips. After we had done the creative writing piece, we started building stacks of rock, which was really fun. After we had finished on the beach, we headed back to the bus to go back to school. This journey also took 2 hours.
