Kingswood 2022 Day 3

Date: 21st Oct 2022 @ 6:30pm

DAY 3.  The day began with rain - again! But, at least it was before the children woke up (they were tired this morning).  Mrs Brammer's car broke down so we thought it was just going to be one of those days!!!  Then........... the children woke and were raring to go again, the rain stopped and Mrs Brammer's car was "fixed".  The morning was filled with: stripping beds, packing bags (and trying desperately to find the owners of some unnamed items of clothing), eating a full cooked breakfast, climbing, orienteering, low ropes, celebrating a birthday and a boogie before leaving for our home comforts.

We have been truly blown away (it is very windy at Kingswood) by the courage and resilience shown by all our Y6 children.  Regardless of experience, all children achieved something they have never accomplished before.  So....... this week our Y6 " Star of the Week" is............. ALL OF THEM.  Thoroughly deserved.

Here are a few pictures from this morning.

Making memories was a massive part of the experience and we are sure there have been many made.

On behalf of the Y6 team, thank you to all those who enabled this residential to be a success (Miss Gibson, Mr Halstead, Mr Burdon, Mrs Morris, Miss Wright, Miss Nithsdale and Mrs Train) - have the best half-term everyone.
