Changes to measures and guidance for managing COVID-19 in Education and Childcare Settings from Friday 1st April 2022
From 1 April, updated government guidance advises people with symptoms of a respiratory infection (including COVID-19) and who have a high temperature or who feel unwell, to try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for five days, which is when they are most infectious, and until they feel well enough to resume normal activities and they no longer have a high temperature.
Children and young people who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people, where they can. There is no longer a requirement to wait for two days of testing negative before they return to school and they can come back to school after 3 days as long as they no longer have a high temperature, and they are well enough to attend.
We are trying our best to control any potential spread of COVID-19 within our setting and appreciate your continued cooperation and support with this matter.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs R. Train
Headteacher
