Year 3 - Science 5.7.22

Date: 5th Jul 2022 @ 4:08pm

In Year 3, we have started working on our life-sized body maps in our science lesson today (take a look at our previous blog post to see how we made them). We have added key parts of the human skeleton including the skull, spine, ribs and pelvis. We are looking forward to adding bones in the arms and legs to finish off our diagrams! We now know that:

- The human skeleton is made of bones. It supports the body by holding it up, protects our organs and helps the body to move.

- Our skull protects our brain.

- Our ribs protect our heart and lungs. They also help our bodies to stay upright along with our spine.

- Our pelvis connects the spine and our legs.
