Office Manager

Scale 7 point 12 to 20 (£18788 to £22014)   37 hours per week - term time only plus 5 days 

 Monday to Thursday 8:30 to 4:30 and Friday 8:30 to 4:00 pm

The Governors of Warmsworth Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced Office Manager from October 2019 to be responsible for the daily smooth running of our busy school office.  We are looking for a highly efficient and well organised person to manage our team of administrators and provide day-to-day support to pupils, parents, carers, staff and visitors.

We are looking for someone who can use their own initiative; works well under pressure and has exceptional customer service skills.

The  successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of working within an office environment, preferably a school setting
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • A friendly, flexible and professional approach, particularly when multi-tasking under pressure
  • A very good working knowledge of office management systems such as Microsoft Word/Excel/Publisher etc
  • A full working knowledge of SIMS is a significant advantage, although training and support will be provided to the suitable candidate
  • The ability to prioritise workload to ensure office systems operate efficiently for the smooth running of the school

Warmsworth is a large primary school with 470 children on roll and was judged to be ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted, March 2014).  We require an experienced teaching assistant who has both GCSE English and Mathematics to Grade C or above.
